Custom software for teams making games: built around the steps, conventions and decisions that keep a production moving.
2017
OUR FIRST MAJOR CONTRACT. A FOUNDATION IN DEVELOPER TOOLS.
THE PRODUCTION NEED
A useful tool gives people their time back.
Production teams lose time when a workflow depends on repeated manual steps, fragile conventions or information that does not make it between applications. Custom tooling earns its place by fitting that work and making the next step clearer.
Our first major contract in 2017 gave Winnitude! a foothold with AAA companies and established developer-focused software as a foundation of the studio. That understanding of production continues to shape our client work.
THE DELIVERY APPROACH
Start where the work slows down.
Map the people, source content, existing tools and expected output. Agree on the conventions and exception cases before choosing an implementation. The tool should work with a team’s production day, rather than require a new one.
Direct reviews and working milestones keep the implementation close to its users. Validation, readable error reporting and documentation help make the tool useful after the initial handoff.
01
Understand the workflow.
Connect the users, constraints, current systems and expected result.
02
Build around real inputs.
Use representative content and direct feedback to expose exceptions early.
03
Leave the team able to own it.
Make source, documentation and a practical handoff part of delivery.
FOR TEAMS WITH A SPECIFIC BOTTLENECK
Bring the awkward part of your pipeline.
Editor tools, content transfer, validation, production utilities and automation can be scoped around the problem your team needs solved. We can build a focused utility or connect several steps into a repeatable workflow.
